Happy St. Patrick’s Day 2015, Ocean County! While St Patrick’s Day technically falls on March 17th, the Jersey Shore proudly features events before and after this date to mark this fun occasion. Enjoy local Irish cultural happenings, bar specials and the Ocean County St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Here is your guide to St. Patrick’s Day 2015 in Ocean County:
Irish Cultural Events
Two weeks of Irish fun at Laurita Winery in New Egypt. March 7th-8th is their Shamrock Festival and March 14th-15th is their St Patrick’s Day Festival. Enjoy Irish food to purchase and live music. It is FREE to attend.
Check out the Shamrocks for the Shore 5k/10k Run & 1 Mile Fun Run on March 15th at 7am at the Stafford Municipal Building. The Southern Ocean Ladies Running Club hosts it, with proceeds benefiting charities.
The Tuckerton Branch of the Ocean County Library presents Green Story Time and a Craft on March 17th at 11:30am. Great for kids ages 2-8.
Go see Ireland: Tea, Food & Folklore at Georgian Court University in Lakewood on March 19th at 11:30am. Tickets are $35.
Enjoy Rhythm in the Night – the Irish Dance Spectacular on March 20th at 8pm. It takes place at the Ocean County College Grunin Center for the Arts in Toms River. Tickets are $30.
Albert Music Hall in Waretown presents their Irish Night with music on March 21st at 7:30pm.
St Patrick’s Day Bar Specials
Doors open at 9am at Hemingway’s in Seaside Heights for the Parade. No cover all day!
At Captain Hooks, gates open at 10am on the morning of the parade. They will feature live music, a beer garden, games, food and a FREE commemorative mug to the first 2000 people.
During the parade, Beachcomber Bar in Seaside Heights features 2 bands and $5 corned beef sandwiches.
On the 17th, River Rock in Brick has dinner specials and the Joe Baracata Band.
On St Patrick’s Day, Klee’s in Seaside Heights features Irish food and whiskey specials all day.
Finnegans in Lakewood presents a St. Patrick’s Day special with an Irish buffet, and the Ballyhawnis Irish Band from 4pm-8pm.
Farrell’s in Point Pleasant Beach opens at 10am on March 17th. All day, enjoy food specials, bagpipers and Irish bands.
2015 Ocean County St Patrick’s Day Parade
Head to the Boulevard in Seaside Heights for the 2015 Ocean County St Patrick’s Day Parade. The festivities begin at Noon on Saturday, March 7th. Thousands of spectators will be there to see the floats, marching bands, dancers and more. Come by, get a spot early and bring the entire to this popular St Patrick’s Day celebration and Ocean County tradition.
