Trick or Treat – Happy Halloween in Ocean County! It’s Halloween 2011 at the Jersey Shore. There’s a ton of Halloween events occurring in Ocean County, NJ this year. These events include family-friendly happenings, and even some night life functions. So get your Halloween costume ready, and we hope you like hay rides and pumpkin picking – because here’s the 2011 Ocean County Halloween Guide:
Northeast Ocean County
Jenkinson’s Aquarium in Point Beach becomes Jenkinson’s Ascareium during the final two weekends in October. According to their website: enter at your own risk.
On October 26th at 6PM is “Halloween Spooktacular and Trunk or Treat” at Drum Point Sports Complex in Brick. Trunks of cars will be filled with candy. There’ll be a costume parade and a hayride. It’s great for the whole family.
There’s another “Spooktacular” event on October 27th. Georgian Court University in Lakewood celebrates Halloween with a ghost walk, haunted houses and ghost storytelling. The event starts at 5PM in the Casino building.
Jenks Club in Point Pleasant Beach will have their Costume Contest on October 29th. There will be over $20,000 in prizes, plus drink specials all night long.
Northwest Ocean County
An October favorite, Fright Fest at Six Flags Great Adventure, continues its tradition of scary visitors in 2011. Fright Fest is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in October.
Halloween Bash is Manchester’s first big Halloween event. Located at the Ridgeway Firehouse, Halloween Bash will have it all – food, haunted hayride, pumpkin patches, vendors, entertainment and more. The Halloween Bash is October 21st, 22nd, 29th and 30th. The family friend events begin at 4PM, and their night events begin at 8PM.
Surf Taco in Jackson is celebrating Halloween on October 29th. Food and drink specials all night long!
Southern Ocean County
The Lacey Municipal Alliance presents their Halloween Party on October 21st at 10:30AM at the Lacey Township Middle School. Food, costume prizes and pumpkin decorating will be part of the event.
On October 22nd, Fantasy Island in LBI presents their Halloween Costume Contest from 1-4PM. Lots of prizes and lots of fun.
The Tuckerton Seaport becomes the Haunted Seaport during the final two Saturdays in October from 6PM-9PM. There’ll be pirates, hay rides, pumpkin patches and more. Fun for the whole family!
The Surf City Hotel is having a Halloween Party on October 29th. $30 to attend. Music, food and prizes. You must be in costume.
Bay Avenue Business Association presents the Bay Avenue Halloween Block Party on October 28th at The Manahawkin Mart. Come for great food, music, hayrides, candy, costumes and more.
Toms River Area
Music Man Singing Ice Cream Shop in Lavallette is having their Halloween Party on October 29th from 3PM-7PM. It’s great ice cream and a great show.
Bamboo Bar in Seaside Heights is having their Halloween Party on October 29th. Bring your costume because there’s a $1000 costume contest.
The 74th Toms River Halloween Parade will take place on October 31st at 7PM. It’s 2nd largest Halloween parade in the World, so you know that you don’t want to miss this popular event.
