Happy Fourth of July 2014, Ocean County! The 4th of July is the ultimate summer holiday at the Jersey Shore. The great thing about Independence Day in Ocean County is that there are so many local events – from late June until July 6th. That means there are plenty of opportunities to catch multiple events (and multiple fireworks fun). Here is your guide to Fourth of July 2014 in Ocean County:
Northeast Ocean County
Lakewood has their 4th of July Celebration on July 3rd at Lake Caralsaljo. First, there is the Miles for Matlosz Five-mile run, which check-in starting at 4:45pm. At 7pm, there is a patriotic music concert. The fireworks begin at 9:15pm.
The 20th Annual Summerfest Concert in Brick’s Windward Beach Park will feature fireworks at the conclusion of the show. The concert, featuring the ‘Bronx Wanderers’, begins at 6:30pm on July 3rd.
The Mantoloking Yacht Club invites local residents to their festivities on July 4th, including a memorial run at 9am and a Gala Family Dinner at 6pm.
Jenkinson’s Boardwalk hosts the Point Pleasant Beach Celebration of the United States of America’s 237th Birthday Fireworks. It begins on July 4th at dusk.
Northwest Ocean County
Manchester holds their Independence Day Celebration on June 28th at Harry Wright Lake. Children’s rides and live music commence at 4:30pm. There will be fireworks at dusk.
Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson has a July 4th Fest that is so big, it takes up 3 days. From July 4th-6th, the park features exclusive ride times, big name musical acts and fireworks every night.
New Egypt High School hosts an Independence Day Celebration on July 5th. Check out the vendors, games and music beginning at 3pm. By dusk, there are fireworks.
Lakehurst invites you to their doubleheader Independence Day Celebration on July 6th. There is a 9am car show at Lakehurst Elementary School and an 11am parade in town.
Toms River Area
Berkeley holds Ocean County’s first Fourth of July 2014 celebration on June 25th with a 6pm concert, featuring ‘Julian & Dominique’, and fireworks at night. Catch it at Veteran’s Park.
Bring the family to the Pine Beach Parade and family field games starting at 9am on July 4th at the Pine Beach Firehouse.
Check out the Ocean Gate Independence Day Parade and Festival on July 4th. It commences on Ocean Gate Ave at 10am.
Seaside Park features their annual Patriotic Bike Parade from 10am-Noon. It begins at the 5th Avenue Pier.
On July 4th, enjoy the Independence Day Celebration at Mathis Veterans Memorial Park in South Toms River. The event includes vendors, food, crafts and games for kids. The Celebration occurs from 3pm-9pm.
At dusk on July 4th, Beachwood hosts their amazing 74th Annual Fireworks. Grab a chair and watch fireworks over the Toms River.
It is the Fourth of July Fireworks Extravaganza in Seaside Heights on the boardwalk. Catch it at night.
Head to the Lavallette Gazebo on Philadelphia Ave on July 6th. The Jersey Shore Patriotic Band will play a live show at 8pm and there will be fireworks at 9pm.
Southern Ocean County
Lacey High School hosts their Fireworks display at dusk on July 3rd.
The Tuckerton Seaport, with the help of Pinelands 4th of July Celebration Committee, presents their 2014 4th of July Celebration on Independence Day. The parade begins at 10am at the Tuckerton Elementary School. The rest of the event features vendors, kids game and live music throughout the afternoon. At night, stay for the fireworks.
The Barnegat Municipal docks hosts a live concert, followed by fireworks, on July 4th at 7pm.
Beach Haven hosts a Celebration of Independence Day on July 4th with fireworks at dusk. Grab a spot at Bay Village to view the wonderful fireworks.
Check out Craft Day by the Bay from 10am-4pm at Sunset Park in Harvey Cedars. See all of the amazing crafters.
Barnegat Light holds their Independence Day Parade at 6:30pm on July 5th. After the parade, stay for a performance with the Liberty Band at the Gazebo on 7th Street.
