Contestant and mom of two from Pine Beach has been crowned Mrs. New Jersey 2016.
Jillian Spano won the Mrs. New Jersey American Beauty pageant, held on November 21st. She will now go on to represent the state in the Mrs. American Beauty national pageant, happening in Florida this June.
Jillian said she entered the pageant, which is open to married women across the state, in order to raise awareness for mental health and addiction.
Holding a masters degree in Counseling Paychology from Rutgers and working in the field, Jillian has both the training and experience to be a strong advocate for the cause. However, she shares that her biggest driver in raising awareness is attributed more closely to home.
“I am very serious about my platform as I want to not only raise awareness but also be a support system for those and those who have family members with a mental health illness and/or an addiction,” said Jillian.
She will continue her work throughout her reign until she crowns her successor for 2017.
