FREE SHRED DAY! American Shredder Incorporated, The Lake Chamber of Commerce and Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus invite you to our joint “Free Shred Day” event designed to help raise awareness of Identity Protection.

Date & Time: October 30, 2015 at 11:00AM TO 2:00PM

Location: Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, 600 River Ave., Lakewood, NJ

Why: Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the U.S. with more than 12 million victims annually. Help reduce the risk of becoming a victim by securely destroying sensitive paper documents you no longer need.

In the process, you’ll also be helping the local environment, as 100% of the paper documents collected and securely destroyed will be recycled to make other paper goods.

What can I shred? Anything that contains sensitive information (name, address, social security numbers, account numbers, etc.) that you no longer need, and that you want to keep out of the hands of thieves or “dumpster divers.” These documents could include old utility invoices, bank statements, medical records, credit card offers and old tax documents (older than 7 years), just to name a few.

Who? American Shredder, New Jersey’s first shredding company is a full-service document shredding company offering secure paper shredding and recycling services for your unique needs. As a local on-site and off-site document destruction entity offering recycling services, we are your first choice when you are in need of destruction of sensitive or confidential papers. At American Shredder, all documents shredded or destroyed are taken to our recycling services facility. For each ton of paper recycled, 17 trees will have been saved, 3 cubic yards of landfill space will not have to be used, 7,000 gallons of water will be saved, and 4,100-kilowatt hours of electricity will be saved. In addition, recycling prevents 60 pounds of pollution from being spewed into the air.
