Fall might be upon us, but the weather will feel like summer all weekend. That means this is a perfect opportunity to check out all of these fun Jersey Shore events. This weekend in Ocean County features the Seaside Semper Five Marine Corps 5K, the 31st Annual Antique & Classic Boat Show and the Clownfest in Seaside Heights. There activities this weekend are numerous and there is something for everyone to enjoy. Here is what’s happening in Ocean County, this second weekend of September 2014:
Friday, September 12th
The Little Egg Harbor Branch of the Ocean County Library will be screening the film “Draft Day” for FREE at 1pm.
Saturday, September 13th
Get your running shoes ready for the Seaside Semper Five Marine Corps 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run. The check-in is at 7am at Sawmill Café in Seaside Park. It is a great way to honor our Marines in this first annual event. The entry is $35 and includes a long sleeve Under Armour shirt and wristband.
Over 100 antique dealers and vendors will be on display at the Ye Old Clamtown Antiques Flea Market from 8am-4pm. Check it out at Tip Seaman County Park in Tuckerton.
The 31st Annual Antique & Classic Boat Show takes place from 8am-5pm at the Johnson Bros Boat Yard in Point Pleasant. Over 50 boats will be available for viewing at this FREE event. The New Jersey Boating Museum will also be there as well.
The New Jersey Maritime Museum in Beach Haven presents a Tribute to the Commercial Fishing Industry. Tickets are $50 for this indoor and outdoor event with entertainment, auctions, raffles and delicious foods donated by local establishments.
Sunday, September 14th
The Presbyterian Church of Toms River hosts American virtuoso Thomas Pandolfi for a performance of the music of Schumann and Brahms. Tickets are $12 and the show starts at 4pm.
The Seaside Heights Boardwalk presents their 33rd Annual Clownfest. It is a parade of clowns during the days this weekend and you got see this family-fun parade.
Check out the New Jersey Wild Outdoor Expo all weekend at the Collier Mills Wildlife Management Area in Jackson. The expo features outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, archery, kayaking, rock climbing, hunting and more.
