As the weather clears up this weekend, so are the events in Ocean County. Some come out and enjoy all the fun March happenings at the Jersey Shore. This weekend in Ocean County features a Sandy Fundraiser at Tiffany’s Salon and “School House Rock LIVE” at the library. We hope you find a local event that you will enjoy. Friday, March 8th
If you love to cook, then you must check out “Date Night in the Food Studio: Getting Saucey” at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences at 6:30pm. Chef Tom Scangarello teaches you how to prepare a tasty four-course meal from start to finish.
Saturday, March 9th
Bring the kids to see “School House Rock LIVE” – the musical stage version of the popular 1970s show that taught history, grammar, math, science and more. The show takes place at 2pm at the Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library.
This weekend’s nightlife pick goes to Nardi’s in LBI to see Dr. Phil & The Heart Attacks perform at 10pm.
Sunday, March 10th
Tiffany’s Salon and Spa in Ship Bottom is hosting a fundraiser from 10am-4pm to benefit local businesses that were seriously affected by Hurricane Sandy. Tiffany’s Salon and Spa will be offering highlites, hair cuts and Swedish Massages where all the proceeds benefit She Sells Sea Shells – a local non-profit that aids local businesses affected by Sandy. Come out and support this great cause.
Georgian Court University in Lakewood hosts a 90-minute program at 1PM on Saturday and Sunday called the “Nanny Rose School of Etiquette”. It’s for ages 5-12 and it teaches children proper manners for the home and other occasions. Register by calling 732-987-2263.
Laurita Winery in New Egypt hosts their Shamrock Festival all Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy special Irish music and treats. It’s FREE admission. And remember to wear green of course.
