March is here in Ocean County, and spring is right around the corner. The good news is that the Jersey Shore is alive with numerous events. This weekend in Ocean County features a performance from Arkadiy Figlin and the Ocean of Love Casino Royal fundraiser. Mark your calendars with these local events. Here is what’s happening in Ocean County, this March 6th-8th weekend 2015:
Friday, March 6th
It is a family movie night at the Brick Civic Plaza, featuring the movie “Book of Life”. Doors open at 6:45pm. It is FREE. Registration is requested. Children can bring pillows and blankets for floor seating. Children can enjoy a FREE small water bottle, and popcorn for 25 cents.
Saturday, March 7th
The New Jersey Theatre Alliance and the Centenary Stage Company presents “Give a Pig a Pancake” a play about a young girl raising a piglet. It is fun for the entire family. Check it out at the Waretown Branch of the Ocean County Library at 11am.
The Jackson Branch of the Ocean County Library welcomes Arkadiy Figlin, the renowned concert pianist from the Lincoln Center, films and more. Come see his 60-minute performance beginning at 2pm.
Ocean of Love presents their Casino Royale fundraiser at Crystal Point Yacht Club in Point Pleasant starting at 6pm. Tickets are $150, which includes $50 in chips. Check out the event, see all of the honorees for the evening and support this great cause.
Sunday, March 8th
Attention bride- to-be: Manahawkin’s ‘Luscious in Love’ Bridal show begins at 1pm at the Holiday Inn. The event includes a fashion show.
For one weekend only: it is the performance of “Sweet Charity” at the Strand Theatre in Lakewood. Tickets are $19. Set in 1966, the world of “Sweet Charity” and NYC comes alive in color and sound through the Fandango Club, the upscale Pompeii Club, Central Park, the Rhythm of Life Church, Time Square and Coney Island.
