It is the final weekend in June 2014, and you should celebrate here in Ocean County. There are plenty of local Jersey Shore events to choose from. This weekend in Ocean County features the Summer Kick-Off Beach Campfire, the Roots, Blues, Wine and Brews Festival and ‘High School Musical’ from Our Gang Players. Friday, June 27th
At 5pm, Casino Pier in Seaside heights holds their 2nd Annual Beach Bucket and Photo Hunt. Teams have 1 hour to collect the items. And it is free.
Saturday, June 28th
Ocean County Park in Lakewood hosts a Giant Yard Sale from 8am-Noon. Come by to see the items for sale.
Shore Vineyard Church in South Toms River presents ‘Celebrating Creativity – Artists at their Best’ from 10am-3pm. The event features original art like paintings, crafts, quilts, photos and more. It is free to attend.
Enjoy classic music from the 50s, 60s and 70s with a 2pm performance from the True Tones at the Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library.
It’s a Summer Kick-Off Beach Campfire at the Barnegat Lighthouse from 7pm-9:30pm. The event at Old’ Barney features live music and marshmallow roasting.
Sunday, June 29th
Fruits, vegetables and even crafts will be available at the first Point Pleasant Beach Farmer’s Market of the season. It is off of Arnold Avenue from 10am-2pm.
The Tuckerton Seaport holds their 2014 Roots, Blues, Wine and Brews Festival. The event is a great combination of tastings from area wineries and breweries, plus music from local acts. Guests receive souvenir Seaport wine.
The Our Gang Players Teen Division presents ‘High School Musical’ at the Brackman School Theater in Barnegat. Bring the entire family to enjoy the great musical songs. Call (609) 597-0553.
