The first day of summer is here, which means this is the first official weekend of summer. That means there are plenty of events at the Jersey Shore. This weekend in Ocean County features the Hot Rods and Food Trucks show, the Electric Hot Tuna concert and the Baymen’s Seafood and Music Festival. Simply put, there are plenty of local events this weekend to enjoy. Here is what’s happening in Ocean County, this June 19th-June 21st weekend 2014:
Friday, June 20th
North Dover Elementary in Toms River hosts Coach Bag Bingo from 6:30pm-10pm. This is your chance to win a Coach Handbag during every round. Admission is $25 before or $30 at the door.
The Ocean County Artist’s Guild in Island Heights presents an Acoustic Musicians Guild show at 8pm. There is a $5 donation.
Saturday, June 21st
Warm up for the Eagleswood 5K Walk and Run. It takes place at 8am at Eagles Nest Airport. Cost is $20 to participate in the walk or run.
Classical cars and delicious food collide at Hot Rods and Food Trucks from 11am-5pm on Bay Blvd in Seaside Heights. Vote for your favorite food and classic vehicles. This event also includes vendors and LIVE music. And it is FREE to attend.
Island Beach State Park hosts their Movie Night in the Park with the film – ‘The Blue Planet: Seas of Life’. Bring a pillow and blanket and enjoy.
Sunday, June 22nd
The Cruise for the Cure, hosted by the American Legion in New Egypt, begins at 10:30am. The festivities also include refreshments and music.
Get ready to rock at the Pine Belt Arena in Toms River. At 7:30pm, check out Electric Hot Tuna, with Larry Campbell, Teresa Williams and Justin Quip. Tickets from Ticketmaster start at $39.40 for this American blues-rock concert.
On Saturday and Sunday, the Tuckerton Seaport presents the Baymen’s Seafood and Music Festival. This is one of their signature events. Check out the delicious seafood from the vendors. Enjoy live entertainment all day, plus family-friendly boat activities.
