We hope you had a fabulous holiday season in Ocean County. There is still one more holiday season weekend to enjoy at the Jersey Shore. This weekend in Ocean County features the 232nd Anniversary of the Skirmish at Cedar Bridge and the Sea of Lights. Bring the entire family to these events during this last weekend before the New Year. Here is what’s happening in Ocean County, this final weekend of 2014:
Friday, December 26th
Riverwatch Restaurant in Brick presents the musical act of Dr Dave & Friends at 8pm.
Saturday, December 27th
The Cedar Bridge Tavern Historic Site, at 200 Halfway Road in Barnegat, hosts the 232nd Anniversary of the Skirmish at Cedar Bridge. From 2pm-4pm, experience the tale of the last documented land battle of the Revolutionary War through a re-enactment.
Sunday, December 28th
It is the last Football Sunday for the local NFL teams. Enjoy a Pig Roast and Buffett with DJ Matrix at the Sawmill Café in Seaside Park. It starts at 11am.
Take one last thrill for the holiday season! Jenkinson’s Aquarium in Point Pleasant Beach presents their Sea of Lights display for families all weekend.
The Novins Planetarium, on the Ocean County College Campus in Toms River, presents ‘Kaluoka’hina –the Enchanted Reef’ throughout the weekend. This is a great story for kids ages 12 and under. Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for kids under 12.
