It should be a gorgeous weekend in Ocean County. That is why there are so many wonderful events happening at the Jersey Shore. This weekend in Ocean County features the “Truck”erton Seaport Food Trucks & Brewfest, the Annual Clam Bake in Bay Head and the Italian Feast in Brick. Get your calendars ready, because there are many different options for fun this weekend. Here is what’s happening in Ocean County, this third weekend of August 2014:
Friday, August 15th
The Jackson Memorial “Jaguar Band” is asking for your help. If you are cleaning out your closet, they are collecting old clothes at their High School from 8am-4pm.
Saturday, August 16th
The LBI Foundation of the Arts & Sciences is hosting Paddlefest 2014 from 8am-Noon. Tickets are $45 for adults and $25 for children. Learn about the hobby and enjoy live music.
Sunset Park in Harvey Cedars hosts three grand events today. From 10am-3pm, see their craft show. From 10am-1pm, participate in a crab race (rentals are available). And from 4pm-6pm, join the Anything Floats Race. They are prices and awards as well.
The Tuckerton Seaport becomes the “Truck”erton Seaport with Food Trucks & Brewfest. 20 different food trucks will be there, plus live entertainment.
The Bay Head Firehouse hosts their Annual Clam Bake from Noon-5pm. Enjoy a variety of delicious seafood, BBQ foods and drinks.
Sunday, August 17th
The 36th Annual Dog Day Road Race begins at 7:30am at the Harvey Cedars Fire House. Over 800 runners are expected to participate in this 5-mile run.
The Church of Epiphany in Brick hosts their Italian Feast from August 13-16. This family-fun event features delicious Italian food, a beer/wine garden, rides, games and crafts. There will also be LIVE entertainment.
Our Gang Players presents ‘Peter Pen’ this weekend, featuring adult, teen and children performers. The shows are held at the Stafford Township Arts Center. Call (609) 597-0553 for tickets and info.
