Warmer weather is upon us in Ocean County. That means it is time to explore the Jersey Shore. This Weekend in Ocean County features the Ship Bottom Sprint For Life and the 4th Annual Wellness Expo. Take a look at all of these different local happenings. Here is what’s happening in Ocean County, this second weekend of April 2015:
Friday, April 10th
The Toms River Chamber of Commerce is holding a New Member Orientation at 10am at the Tuscan Bistro Bar in Toms River.
Saturday, April 11th
Support a great cause at the Ship Bottom Sprint For Life. The 5K Run, 2-mile fitness walk and kids mini sprint raise funds every year for the Luekemia and Lymphoma Society. Registration begins at 10am on 11th street.
Georgian Court University in Lakewood presents the 4th Annual Wellness Expo from 11am-4:30pm Enjoy yoga classes for children and adults, workshops on wellness, dozens of exhibitors, guest speakers and more.
The Bellarine Theatre Company presents their Student Director Showcase at 8pm at the LBI Foundation for the Arts & Sciences. Support the four local student directors: Gavin Cranmer, Abby Leyh, John Reilly and Christa Steiner.
‘The Hit Men’, featuring former stars of Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons, and other acts, takes place the Grunin Center for the Arts in Toms River at 8pm. Tickets are $40.
Sunday, April 12th
Check out a live radio performance of ‘The Shadow’ and ‘Arsenic and Old Lace’ at the Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library at 2pm.
