She’s only five years old, but Lily Rose Cramer and her parents have already faced the unthinkable. Doctors at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia have diagnosed Lily Rose with aggressive Neuroblastoma, a Stage 4 cancer.
She has an 18-month battle ahead of her with four rounds of chemotherapy. Her parents need to drive back and forth, an hour and a half trip from their home, and also take care of Lily Rose’s brothers, ages 3 and 8.
To help the Cramer family, the American Legion Post #493 is hosting “Love for Lily,” a fundraiser Sunday, March 1, 2015, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at American Legion Post #493, 420 Radio Road, Little Egg Harbor, N.J. 08087. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Lily Cramer Fund for medical bills and expenses.
Activities include a Chinese auction, antique car show, bake sale, 50/50 raffle, face painting, balloon animals, fire truck rides, a photo booth, door prizes and the Fun Bus of Ocean County. Monetary donations and items for the Chinese auction will be gladly accepted.
Admission is $5.00 for children 12 years and under and $10.00 for adults. Purchase tickets in advance or at the door.
The Band Jam includes Billy Walton, Jimmy Brogan, Brandon Ireland, Fred Conley, 40 North Impulsives, Smokey Starr, Off Their Rocker, Mott’s Creek Pickers, and Small Wood Brothers.
