Your Life’s Palette – Painting for Fun and Relaxation
Sep 28 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am

NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED!
What is it? Your Life’s Palette (Creating Your Life) is a fun, informal, and open (meaning you can come as often or as little as you like) group using painting as a means of expression, confidence building, and perhaps, even a way to make friends.
You do not need to know how to paint. In fact, everyone can! Many people are under the mistaken belief that they have “no talent”. The fact is, we ALL have gifts and creativity that lives inside each of us.
While this is not designed as a therapeutic group per se (and therefore, insurance is not billed), there are many benefits to painting and creating. Creating can greatly change and/or enhance your life.  You DO NOT need to be a client to attend!
When: Every other Thursday from 10am-11:30am
Each session, there will be a presentation and instruction (as needed) of a simple subject. You will have the choice to either paint it as is or create your own interpretation of it. It is after all, YOUR creation! There simply is NO right or wrong!
Cost: $35 per session (Payment may be made by visiting our Store/Resource page)
Provided: All supplies including paint, canvas, palettes, brushes, easels, etc.
Space is limited! This is a small group of no more than 5 people. Pre-registration along with payment is required.
Cancellations: Money will be refunded should you need to cancel as long as it is 72 hours in advance as space is reserved on a first-come basis. After 72 hours, you will only receive a refund IF your spot can be filled.

Young Eagles Flight Rally & Aviation Day at Lakewood Airport
Oct 22 @ 12:30 pm – 4:00 pm

Free airplane rides for boys and girls ages 8-17. Flights will begin at 1:00 PM with registration closing at 4 PM. Enter the airport at Cedar Bridge Ave and proceed to the operations office, starting at 12:30 PM to register for their flight. A parent or guardian who can sign a required parental permission form at the time must accompany students. The New Jersey Aviation Education Council will also be on hand with aviation displays and learning stations.

The EAA Young Eagles Program was created in 1992 to interest young people in aviation.  This is the 25th anniversary of the program.  Since then volunteer EAA pilots have flown more than 2 million young people who reside in more than 90 countries.  Since 2004 Chapter 315 has flown nearly 500 young people at local airports:  Monmouth, Lakewood, and Old Bridge.

There is no charge for Young Eagle flights. Pilots taking part in the event are all volunteers and will be happy to explain more about the different airplanes involved.  They will also demonstrate how pilots ensure that safety is the prime concern before every flight. The young people will learn what makes an airplane fly, what it takes to get a pilot’s license, and what career possibilities exist in the world of aviation. Even if the young people never pursue a pilot’s license, the EAA hopes to create friends of aviation.

Lakewood Airport, 1900 Cedar Bridge Avenue, Lakewood, NJ 08701
