Join Bellarine Theatre Company on Thursday, July 9th at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences in Loveladies at 7PM for a festive night of improvisation, music, light refreshments and big laughs. Organized by Jim McCabe, teacher of Southern Regional High School’s improvisational theater classes, “An Evening of Improv” is Bellarine’s second improvisational theater show at the Foundation after the success of a holiday themed show last December.
Bellarine’s actors will present numerous improv theater games, similar to those seen on the “Whose Line is it Anyway” television show made popular by former host Drew Carey, Wayne Brady, Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie, and others. As an added bonus, the actors will also develop and present comical caricatures of many summer stereotypes to Long Beach Island and interact with the audience before the show, serving refreshments and pre-show laughs. Adult audience members are welcome to bring their own refreshments as the event is also “BYOB”.
“An Evening of Improv” is being presented as a fundraiser for Bellarine, a non-profit theater company which performs at both the Long Beach Island Foundation and Pinelands Regional High School. Bellarine will present “Legally Blonde” at Pinelands at the end of the month and a showing of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” at the Foundation near Halloween.
