Summer at the Jersey Shore features outdoor concerts – and dozens and dozens to be exact. And best of all, many of these concerts are FREE. Bring a chair or blanket, and enjoy these 2014 Outdoor Summer Concerts in Ocean County:
Back by popular demand in 2014, the Ocean County Parks and Recreation Department invites you to the Ocean County Carousel of Music from June 25th-August 30th. 40 different concerts are available for the public to see. The venues for concerts include Veterans Park in Berkeley, the Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library, the 10th Street Waterfront Park in Ship Bottom, Beachwood Beach in Beachwood, 23rd Avenue in South Seaside Park and the Heritage Gazebo in Lavallette. Brick Summerfest returns to Windward Beach Park in 2014 with 3 concerts beginning at 6:30pm. The dates are July 3rd with the Bronx Wanderers, July 17th with Jimmy and the Parrots and August 14th with U2 Nation.
On Wednesdays from July 9th to August 6th, Harvey Cedars hosts a concert series at Sunset Park. The musical groups include No Discipline and the Cornelia Street Band. Shows begin at 7pm.
Big musical acts will be performing this summer at the Plymouth Rock Assurance Arena located in Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson. Some of the acts include Grammy winner Fred Hammond on June 21st, Daddy Yankee on July 5th and Rita Ora on July 20th. Admission is free with paid ticket or season pass.
Friday Night concerts return to the Tuckerton Seaport beginning July 11th at 6:30pm. Check out this summer’s acts, such as the Basement Musicians and the Billy Walton Band.
Check out the Barnegat Dock concerts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday Nights at 7pm all July and August. The acts include the B Street Band, ReUnited, Sure Cats and the Pickles. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will be held at Brackman Middle School.
Listen to the Sounds of the Summer concert series at Veterans Park in Berkeley. The concerts are at 6pm on selective Wednedays from June 25th to August 20th. Listen to bands like Almost Queen, Hotel California and the Duprees.
Lavallette invites everyone to their Gazebo Concerts on Sundays from June 29th-August 31st. All shows start at 7pm. The acts in 2014 include A Little Bit of Heaven, Ragtimes and Musicology.
