Saturday
Grape STOMPing at Laurita Winery. ‘Why not get the actual feel of the NJ wine making process with the tradition of grape stomping? Plan to kick off those shoes and experience with your bare feet the grape stomping fun!’ From 11am to 10pm, $8 a person. 35 Archertown Rd., Plumsted Township. (Also go for a free vineyard tour!)

It breaks our hearts to see the commercials on TV with animals that are in shelters and do not have homes, however, we want to try to get these animals in our local shelters adopted by the opposite approach - a happier and more heartwarming one. Because of our community, these animals will have a happy ending and will have someone to love and take care of them.

By this time in the summer, your grill has most likely had plenty of use from all of those BBQs. Here are some very easy recipes to add to your lunch or dinner menu today (and for labor day weekend, too)!

Some grill tips before and during cooking:

Clean and oil your grill grates and preheat
Make sure your grates didn’t get too hot with a piece of veggie or a small piece of meat. If they brown too quickly, let the grill cool down a bit.

Hit the beach! Whip out the tennis racquets, go for a hike - stay outside! It's a beautiful weekend and September is already beginning next week. Besides doing all of those summer festivities that you want to squeeze in before fall, here are some other events going on in the area.
